806379 2009-09-02 20:43:00 Does anyone know of a fix, patch, program to stop users of a limited account changing desktop wallpapers in a school situation. Personally I like the bikini clad supermodel look but some don't. I would love to have it so that it either tells the little blighters that you cannot change this desktop wallpaper or reverts back to the old one after logging off.
We also do not want them to add passwords to the limited account is there any way to stop that. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Newteach.

806380 2009-09-02 20:44:00 Microsoft SteadyState www.microsoft.com (it's free).

It won't stop them changing anything, but everything changes back to the default configuration when you reboot (I think it also does it when you log off, but I'm not 100% sure on that).

806382 2009-09-02 21:06:00 +1 for SteadyState.

At the *most* they can change the Desktop background, until they log off then back on again :)

806383 2009-09-02 22:16:00 Steadystate X3!

Or try out majorgeeks.com

But I'm not sure if Returnil can be used in a corporate environment...

I normally try to avoid using third party programs to get something done if it can already be done in windows.
