| 806294 | 2009-09-02 10:04:00 | Need to get a video card with HDMI output so might as well get something with a bit of extra grunt while I'm at it. Looking for a value upgrade not trying to make this PC into something its not.Prefer to spend less then $200, Id asume there are now plenty of cards in this price range more powerful then mine as its been awhile since she was fitted. Current config AMD 4600 dual core 3GB ram 7900GS video card. |

| 806301 | 2009-09-03 09:22:00 | Well considering a new 4850 is $167 I reckon a new 4830 should be around $125. Secondhand 4830s should be worth around $90. Did no one bid on your auction? |

| 806303 | 2009-09-03 16:06:00 | ok, done this video card thing big time last year. #1: buy only from a supplier you can meet in person...you might save $20 on the internet..not worth the hassle. #2 look to what your power supply will run (that is a biggie! - suppliers will tell you bulls**t). #3 look to your expansion slots, i.e. what do you exactly have available because once you upgrade 1 piece of your system you will find yourself upgrading more. And as fa as ram goes, 3Gb is all vista can address so don't get sold a dummy (like I did) with an offer of extra ram. | toonttm (14853) | ||
