674692 2008-06-01 10:47:00 Just tried the RC, God damn, What they have done to the address bar is spastic. Covered half my screen with crap, all I was looking to do was reload the page. Thick I accidentally bookmarked the poxy page I was on half a dozen times by error.

Then when I went back to it and started to type in an addy an entirely different load of crap spewed forth, Visited pages, suggestions?, Book marks?

The beauty of FF is its simple, You can add bells and whistles that suit you if you want to, Yet they force this crap on ya?

I looked through the options and not finding a way to return it to a simple address bar, I uninstalled it, and instead installed IE7.

Much better.

Firefox, Your doomed.
I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can change it by typing about:config or whatever it is and changing a setting there.

674693 2008-06-01 10:50:00 I've been using "minefield" for the last 5 months. No major problems except the odd crash when opening multiple tabs on pages with java streaming video.

The smart adress bar is brilliant.

674694 2008-06-01 11:35:00 never tried opera, safari is OK but I like the UI less than FF3, FF2 is OK but opens tabs the wrong way, hence I use IE7 which does everything I need and even crashes once in a while to remind me that nothing is perfect Agent_24 (57)

Youre not using an earlier version of IEPro with IE7 are you??

Prior to 2.3.6?? As this used to crash IE7 often when closing IE7 when there were a few tabs opened

I've got the latest version of IE7Pro - my problem is that IE7 seems to have issues with memory usage - open too many tabs or windows and eventually memory usage gets so high you can't open any more, and other applications start failing to work or display properly .

Fully shutting down IE and terminating iexplore . exe (sometimes it won't quit by itself) clears the problem .

674698 2008-06-01 11:54:00 I would check the addons and see what file is crashing it in event viewer.

Usually if IE 7 crashes, its an addon thats doing it (If youve installed any addons).

Well, It doesn't actually crash.. it just seems to fill all available memory and then stop working - taking everything else with it.

On a stranger note, i am going to try Opera, FF seems to be getting really weird... Screwing up on me....

But sadly, i am and always will be a IE hater...

674701 2008-06-01 12:20:00 Metla, I have a solution for you:

addons.mozilla.org

I know its retarded to use an add-on for this but FF3 is worth it.
