673763 2008-05-30 04:02:00 He was asking Beckham for his autograph? (or maybe even his phone number as I heard he was a bit like that) sam m (517)
673764 2008-05-30 04:06:00 According to this:
www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk

the score was at 2:1 and the goalkeeper had come up to "try and make an impact". Must have been right on full time.

673767 2008-05-30 04:29:00 Well, Becks may be past his prime and all but you'd have to be a cocky son of a ***** to leave your goal wide open with him floating around like that. Biggles (121)

673769 2008-05-30 04:51:00 Yeah, where the heck was the goalie?

You can see him in yellow racing back to his goal, and the commentator mentions this.

It is common practice in soccer (and in ice hockey I think) to do this sort of thing if you are desperate at the end of a game when you are one goal down. You might as well go down by two goals as one!

673770 2008-05-30 04:53:00 Also when you are so far up that the goalie wants to get in on the act and score too. Biggles (121)
