How do I change the boot settings so I can start from the USB? Im wanting to try Puppy Linux. |

Go into the BIOS, select the flash drive / whatever it is as the bootdisk. Save the settings then reboot. Altho, not all systems support booting from USB devices, and not all USB devices are bootable. Thats if youre talking about a flash drive |

If it gives you the option to boot from one it probably is, if it doesnt it wont boot from one |

Then of course you have to have the correct flash USB drive.
Why not put puppy on a cd or DVD as an image? ISO file for example. Or any other linux distrubution? |

You have to plug the flash drive in before searching the BIOS for it, doesn't Puppy let you make the flash drive bootable I thought it did, I've done it with a DSE brand flash drive |
