806790 2009-09-04 07:35:00 Recently I can't use the ALT key. Tried restarting and reinstall keyboard driver, didn't work. After a few hours later, the ALT key is functioning again for a short while.

Any help?

806791 2009-09-04 08:58:00 key sounds like its sticking can you try another keyboard? gary67 (56)
806792 2009-09-04 09:03:00 Probably a laptop.

Do both the alt keys have the same problem?

Both of my alt keys are not working.

Tried an external keyboard and it is functioning well.

Could this be a virus?

806794 2009-09-04 09:29:00 I had a similar problem recently, with was caused by an incorect language setting. But if another keyboard cleared the problem it's unlikely to be that. Driftwood (5551)

806796 2009-09-21 09:10:00 Stuck keys like I said probably not much you can do, with the laptop switched off give it gentle and I said gentle shake probably won't fix it but worth a try gary67 (56)
806797 2009-09-22 05:08:00 Also, I uninstalled Ubuntu ages ago. Before that, I found no keyboard problems. candyslice (15227)
