| 676450 | 2008-06-08 03:53:00 | So I hear Freeview is now going HD - High Definition Can someone tell me which of these www.bondandbond.co.nz digital receivers, is HD compatible? There's a big price difference between them so I want to get the right one! BTW: I'm receiving my signal via UHF aerial, not satellite Another thing, are there any alternative brand receivers (HD Capable) other than those FreeView suggest (but that would still work with freeview) |

| 676451 | 2008-06-08 19:28:00 | The Zinwell Terrestrial is what you want. It has HD already on some programs on TV3 with TV1 HD coming soon. The HD will be like Topsy and just grow. A lot of Aussie sourced stuff is now made in HD. It comes through a UHF arial, so one of those is needed. Ken |

Others will have to pay the price possibly in the way of extra tax as we are now doing anyway. About time all people in NZ had decent TV as we will not be able to afford to go anywhere but home. |

I suspect that we won't see any drop until after the Olympics as that seems to be the HD carrot being held out infront of people.. | paulw (1826) | ||

I'm using an Elgato EyeTV to watch FreeView on my laptop, it's not accredited but everything works except for the Guide. I expect that there are several other receivers available, both for computers and as stand-alone boxes for your TV. |
