| 676217 | 2008-06-07 04:55:00 | I thought I had the build sorted right down to fan controller and fan conversion cables.... Now it comes to pulling the trigger, I am hesitating at the mobo choice. I want single PCIe x 16 slot, as I'll probably never get 2 graphics cards and cant see the sense of wasting the 2nd slot when it could be plain old PCI. I also like Mosfet\N/B heatpipe solutions as they will mostly fit inside my cooling tunnel. I also want Raid off the s/b do 1ch9r or 10 required however these features usually only come with the dual graphic slots...#$!@#$&!@^@#$. I like the IP35-E, but no RAID, Gigabyte EP35 DS3L\P has RAID, but dual graphics slots. Acutally starting to go off their multi colour board with different coloured connectors everywhere. The Asus P5K series has either the 24 pin in the middle of the board or the RAM to far towards the middle of the board. The X38 chipset is just too expensive! |
