676112 2008-06-07 04:27:00 The university got an unexpected number of enrolments last year and ended up not being able to fit all students into one lecture theatre. The solution was to install video and audio equipment in the theatre, film the lecturer and beam this into a second theatre, says Harte.

The university then came up with the idea to record the audio and make it available to students, he says. With 140,000 downloads of the two papers, and students still turning up for the lectures, the project was a huge success, he says.

A lot of colleges in the US have been doing it for the past couple of years. Duke University was one of the earlier colleges.

Those are great aren't they? The missing words for us usually are "the", "asset", "liability" and "exceeding"

Great, 4 years of doing accounting so we can fill in "asset"

Maybe they are basing their "learning expectations" on the current NCEA levels ;)

10 points for turning up to class
20 points for participating in a discussion
A "Pass" can be described as a "satisfactory" level of achievement
