675256 2008-06-03 03:19:00 On Monday 26th I sent a new PC to Ohaupo via Post Haste.
Tracking shows the pickup - and nothing else.

Invercargill branch didn't show much interest nor any concern so I rang HO in Auckland.

He did say he'd look into it and get back to me. Well, he did although not until I emailed and phoned yet again today.

This sort of thing doesn't inspire confidence in my claim though:
www.stuff.co.nz

And they tell me it will take 2 weeks from the time they receive my documentation back.

675257 2008-06-03 04:10:00 Why did the guy from Gore think 25 "fragile" stickers would help? He may have his original packing but that was probably enclosed in a bulk pack to his source.
Making parcels too heavy to throw helps.

My claim with a courier company took the best part of 3 months to go through, when my computer was damaged during transit . They really don't care, and you have to continue to chase them up . My one also took offense that I posted my experince on the internet . There needs to be some decent legislation for couriers, as many of them are run as francises, so noone takes any responsibility, and you are bounced between different courier operators .

It wouldn't . "fragile" is a challenge not an instruction for couriers . :illogical

I second that!!

675261 2008-06-03 12:17:00 The quality of couriers is extremely variable apparently, in this neck of the woods there are a couple, one slack and one definitely a hazard. The rest are pretty damn good and try hard to do a good job. Pity there isn't a register where their scores could be posted.
The local Post Haste is in the A team, but their tracking system is a joke.

675262 2008-06-03 12:31:00 I think it depends on the performance of each courier in their respective areas. Fortunately for me, all NZ Post and NZ Courier couriers I've had seem to be hard-working people and never gave me problems.

I've had about 3-4 problems out of around 25 deliveries, but all these problems were out of my local couriers' areas.

675263 2008-06-03 21:58:00 Yep, I'm pretty sure we have some of the best couriers in the country in Mot. :) wratterus (105)

 Posties as well. Heard about someone who set some photos in the mail with the plea "Photos do not bend" written on the outside.

They were folded in half in the letterbox and had "Oh yes they do" printed on them.

675265 2008-06-04 00:02:00 Bit of a concern sometimes when couriers leave items on your doorstep, though some couriers do leave a calling card to pick up from your local delivery office/drop station... kahawai chaser (3545)
