It will also have to be a Enterprise key. In other words, you cant go buying a Home Pre and put that in - it wont work. Just looking at the FAQ it says: If you wish to continue to use Windows 7 Enterprise please note that you will be required to purchase and perform a clean installation of Windows 7, including drivers and applications. Please keep this in mind; Windows 7 Enterprise is not available through retail channels. To answer your question chris -- the RTM is not that different on the surface to the RC. So far have tried the Home Pre & basic, Professional, Ultimate, Enterprise (Available through technet sub for testing) & managed to break it once :D |

Windows 7 Enterprise and Windows 7 Ultimate have exactly the same set of features, unlike Vista Enterprise and Vista Ultimate Windows 7 Enterprise is only available under Volume Licensing and uses either MAK or KMS activation keys (KMS preferred so you don't need to put an individual key into each PC as well as have them activating with Microsoft over the Internet) Windows 7 Ultimate is not available under Volume Licensing and uses 'normal' retail keys |
