2009-09-07 07:15:00 If its got XP on it, this may work (rapidshare.com). Just make sure you scan that file, before you install whatever is in it Speedy Gonzales (78)
2009-09-07 07:16:00 Sorry forgot to say Its Vista gary67 (56)
2009-09-07 07:18:00 If its on broadband / on the net now, go through device manager / driver tab / update driver option. See if it picks one up / then install it Speedy Gonzales (78)
2009-09-07 07:21:00 I think that ones working off to find a phone point to try it thanks Speedy gary67 (56)
2009-09-07 07:23:00 Umm if theres no modem driver how is it going to connect?? Or is there an internal modem in it? Or if its got a NIC connect it to a router Speedy Gonzales (78)
2009-09-07 07:32:00 Well that's it I have it running on my BB connection fine, friend has dial up only and Dells and most other laptops don't come with a modem these days, I installed the drivers and then did a scan for newer ones and it said there were no newer ones. I have even disabled the McAfee to see if that's stopping it. It won't connect on dial up gary67 (56)
2009-09-07 07:39:00 Did you try a diag test on the modem then with whatever drivers?? What does it say, when you try and connect on dial up?? Any errors?? Is there more than one port (if its a voicemodem or something, you may have plugged the phone jack into the wrong port). Are you using another phonejack, if its the same jack your BB is connected to? It maybe an Aztech modem, Conexant make the chipsets not the modems

Does it look like this ? (translate.google.co.nz)

It maybe the UM3100, which is here but the drivers are for XP (www.aztech.com)

2009-09-07 08:18:00 And what phone jack have you plugged it into?? If your BB is connected to the jack? If youre trying to do this at home Speedy Gonzales (78)
