No Sony make a series of differant LCD models. You get the X, V, S, G, R, and D series. They are all built to differant specs. A 40 inch X series LCD TV costs about $5,000 where as a 40 inch V series LCD TV costs about $2400.

676645 2008-06-10 03:44:00 Been in to get my V series LCD.

Chap at my local shop knows what is what.
So the V series is the one below the D series,which is now discontinued.It (v series)doesn't have anti drag facility like the D series had.

The replacement for the D series will be a 100hz and that precludes the need for anti drag system.

So will wait till next year to see what is happening then.
