| 675619 | 2008-06-09 02:55:00 | So true, so true. They may be slow learners, like about 7 years to realize what Bush is, but surely Americans would never again vote for another brainless person like Bush. Say what? American presidential elections aren't about brains. Regardless of any arguments against the logic/morality/common sense of the Iraq war, if Bush had managed to "win" it without 4000+ US casualties, and not have it drag on for years, he'd be exiting the White House as a popular guy. The electorate hasn't suddenly turned against him cause they think his "stupidity" is a problem. They've turned against him because he didn't "win" - at least not by how the Americans define military victory, and because the economy has gone south. That doesn't mean they'll turn around and vote for someone with obvious brains as an alternative. |

| 675620 | 2008-06-09 03:16:00 | The US is not a democracy. The government is controlled by huge corporations that fund 'there' politicians into power. Makes very little difference which party get in or even who is the president. The average American either doesn't care or is to stupid to know what is really going on, makes me laugh why people here care. |

We are so fed up seeing a president who talks and acts like he never finished form 3 at school. But when considering American voters in general, yes ok I see what you mean and point taken. |

Daddy was president so can I My husband was president, so can I. Its never been about ability, if you have good corporate backing with millions of $$ and or a very rich family you have a good shot. The major parties have massive financial input from huge corporations, all you have to do is fill there agenda in return. The general public will be fine as long as the illusion of democracy is maintained, which is easy as the major news networks are controlled by the same greedy corporations. The biggest industry in the US is defense (attack), wars are great for business, and they don't care if a bunch of stupid redneck kids from the small town America die in the armed forces (in the name of freedom lol), its not there kids, it makes money. I may sound cynical, but the entire system is beyond corrupt. |
