True. What brand is it?
Amstrad
Commadore...?

Looks like it came out in 1985-86 or so judging by the CPU

676267 2008-06-08 00:06:00 Sounds like the Amiga 500 / +

I've still got the original floppies for it, and the A590, and games
Speedy Gonzales (78)
676268 2008-06-08 02:01:00 A fit of madness really, no doubt the novelty will wear off in a couple of days. :o

Its specs:

7mhz 32bit CPU
(16-bit data bus and 24-bit address bus)
512k RAM
37.5 Power supply.
Resolution 320x256 (up to 4096 colours)
4 channel 8 bit sound
1 x 880k FDD

$40
There was a printer too but I left that.

Amazingly the lady had all the original books, leaflets and the warranty card. It had a 90 day warranty! And we bleat about 1 yr rubbish nowdays.....

Still as husband said, look how long its actually lasted...........18 years (its the Plus model).

You can download Zork for free now.. That's a fun game :D

Well you beat me: slowest thing I've got is 33mhz :crying

676269 2008-06-08 02:49:00 It wont play Crysis but it most certainly will blend.

If you probably sneezed on it, it would break down.

0.5MB RAM FTW!

676270 2008-06-08 02:54:00 Actually it's probably built a lot better than most of the crap we see today

And I thought 256K of Video RAM was awesome...

Yes Speedy wins .
What usually dies first is the disks, then the CIA chips or the actual drive . Thats if you have one of the better batteries .

A bit of nostalgia . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Pinball Dreams is working well .

Picture included.

Interesting to note in the picture shown that the RAM icon on screen appears on the top right which is the opposite of Windows and that the frames around the GUI Windows are very similar in appearance to another OS of the day (not Windows)
