676083 2008-06-07 06:56:00 Tastech has been around for around 10 years and I have known Grant the owner for about that long. By far one of the more reliable E-tailers and much cheaper than the likes of Ascent that gets bantered around these forums a lot.

He and Dragon are probably the two biggest E-tailers in CHCH (retail).

You do hear the occasional bad thing about both of them, but they must be doing alright to have been around for this long. You will also always get the odd dissatisfied customer with any company, even the best companies.

676084 2008-06-07 22:36:00 Just purchased a computer, extra screens, memory etc for the other comp's at work, great service and honest. Sent a $20 2gb memory stick FOC because he realised he had over charged by $5 in his quote. Arnie (6624)
676085 2008-06-08 00:06:00 IU have dealt with Grant several times and as we live in Chc have called in to pick up goods. My only gripe is that sometimes the price listed on the website is outdated and when you go to pick up it is a little dearer. Still cheaper than others, but it is annoying. theother1 (3573)
676086 2008-06-08 21:27:00 I've bought a two items through Tastech - I didn't mind the suburban house pickup system as his prices are very good (hard to beat) - but I find it too difficult to order things.

I send an email with the enquiry/order --> get no answer.

Then I ring --> voice mailbox full.

Ring cellphone --> Grant answers and says "yep, send me another email"...

Then I get an answer to email and instructions for pickup.

This has happened both times and I just can't be arsed with it anymore. I'd rather go to DragonPC as their prices are nearly as good and there is an actual shop with actual opening hours.
