807801	2009-09-07 22:37:00	I am having trouble with a network. The business has manually assigned IP address Two computers are connected to a switch an adsl modem is connected to the switch I can see each the other computer but I can not get on the internet although there seems to be an exchange of information going on can someone shed light on why I am not able to connect to the internet? (If I bring the unit to my office and change the ip settings to automatic - I can get on the internet - so this eliminates firewalls infections...)	NZHawk (4093)

807804	2009-09-07 22:54:00	I should clarify: The 2ndry computer connected the same as the primary connects just fine to the internet! I have copied the exact same setting as the 2ndry computer but used different IP addresses but no internet connection.	NZHawk (4093)

I will try - interestingly - when I connected the network cable direct from the computer to the adsl modem it showed as if the cable was disconnected! 807806	2009-09-07 23:19:00	Wow! The mystery of computers comes home again. I returned the primary computer to the office. Reset up the IP address & default gateway and it worked!!!! (I had done all of this the day before!) Thank you for your help! Good Day!	NZHawk (4093)
