677965 2008-06-13 00:44:00 Phone AOC, and see what happens. It might save you time and energy arguging with the company over CGA obligations. somebody (208)
677966 2008-06-13 00:46:00 Go straight to AOC, way easier, no middle man.

Who did you buy it from?

677967 2008-06-13 01:07:00 Who Did you RMA it to ?

Morning Star Contact Details (www.morningstar.co.nz)In Auckland are the AOC people to deal with - done a couple of RMA's for AOC and gotten the paper work through in under 5 minutes with a replacement real quick.

Just a thought - if the monitor is a import and not NZ supplied that could be why they are saying contact AOC.

677968 2008-06-13 01:32:00 right, bought it from C1shoppingmall (online store, physical shop thing near sylvia park)

if it's easier to deal with AOC i will - but considering i emailed them about the pixel and then they told me to fill out the rma, and now tell me to call AOC, it's a bit of a pain

He can't deal with Morningstar - they are the wholesaler and will only deal with the likes of us resellers.

AOC has a 3 yr ONSITE warranty so he's best to ring their 0800 number as told and get it sorted.

Although one pixel may not be enough, depends if its a zero dead or zero bright pixel warranty on that model, or whatever.

From my past experience, their aftersales customer support is very poor.Ascent and PP.co.nz are the companies I now deal with, as they have good aftersales customer service.

677971 2008-06-13 01:52:00 AOC normally have a one month onsite no defect warranty, any issues, or dead pixels within that 1st month and they will replace it. Otherwise there has to be a certain number of dead or bright pixes, 5 I think, to warrant warranty replacement.

That's why I like Viewsonic!
