808270 2009-09-09 07:19:00 Hi There
I have just munted the DC power plug on the end of the cable from the AC adapter of my HP 6730B laptop (I shut it in the boot latch of my car and shattered it) I have measured the plug from a colleagues laptop The plug outer is 7.35 diameter, the walls of the outer are 1.35 thick and the center pin approximately 0.8--0.9mm
Does anyone know were to buy one of these or maybe have a dead powers supply that has one that can be salvaged?
I know I can just but a complete power pack, but the engineer in me says just fix the old one if possible, the greeny in me says don't be a burden on the environment and the Scot in me says don't waste money!
Anyone???

808272 2009-09-09 08:14:00 Probably the sort of part not available aftermarket, price of a powerbrick and cable seems reasonable
