OPEC claim no shortage of oil, they are meeting all demand for oil but the amount of oil traded on paper is vastly greater than actual use. The world uses 87M barrels per day yet the paper trading is 1.36B bpd. The same financial geniuses that brought us Sub Prime Mortgages are probably trying another way of making a fast buck. |

I mean they are profiteering from this situation, while mainstream NZs are struggling. |

Europes prices are a lot higher, simply because they are taxed more, due to environmental taxes which we don't yet have here. Once we have those taxes added, our prices may end up being higher than Europes. |
