677155 2008-07-04 12:07:00 OK, bit of a thread resurrection but I came across the plans and pricing for the iPhone in Australia (www.optusiphone.com.au/) and see they have a prepaid option (http:). The prices would look decent in NZD but look on the steep side if converted directly to NZD (which could possibly be wishful thinking). sal (67)
677156 2008-07-04 18:59:00 According to an article that was posted earlier on the front page of PCworld.co.nz the iPhone data plans are going to put the iPhone parallel importers out of business.... so it will be interesting to see what they are. vitalstatistix (9182)
677157 2008-07-04 22:49:00 Anything reasonably priced will be rejected outright by the iNuts. Always has. R2x1 (4628)

If there are no prepaid options for the iphone then parrallel imports will still be selling them.

I saw an article earlier in the week that AT&T is also going to sell iphone without a plan for $400 higher than the plan versions..

677161 2008-07-05 07:49:00 Not related to iPhone pricing but a interesting timeline of the iPhone concept including iPhone patents and registered domain names here. Surprisingly it dates back to 1999 which is barely 2 years after Steve had returned to Apple - shows you how far the guy thinks into the future. ;)
