677065 2008-06-12 02:06:00 why is it that i cant find a NZ price?
not a guess, not a "i read it in the paper", not i think it will be about....

I mean a real proper price as stated by apple NZ or vodafone.

Vodafone signed the contract months ago, you cant tell me they havent decided on a price yet.

They will know the price, but obviuolsy the NZ price hasn't yet been released . I expect $499 for a 24-36 month contract, and $899 for a prepay version.

677066 2008-06-12 02:40:00 I was ovesreas two years ago and I sent 100 text message using my vodafone to NZ.It costed $100

I hate itunes and how iphone restricts users but having it locked.I hate their marketing evillnes..Its just like another microsoft but more innovative.lol

The iPhone is no more "locked" to Vodafone than any other phone you buy from Vodafone (Vodafone actually reversed their decision to lock the iPhone and it was announced on this forum) or Telecom although with both companies going 3G I would imagine that it Telecom gets their **** together at the end of the year that the deals should start getting real interesting since both companies will or should be selling the iPhone.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say that using the iPhone "restricts" users - restricts you from doing what exactly? Care to clarify Ninjabear

Nothing wrong with iTunes either.

I also expect about $499 but it would be nice to have a real price from vodafone.
I am the kind of geek who likes to look at specs and looks at price and then decide to save $$ and buy product.

If I don't have a price then I can't decide to buy.

About 2 days worth of stubble actually, I need a shave.

Interesting views from New Zealand 1st gen iPhone owners being posted at this link at the Herald online

Vodafone seem to be keeping pretty "mum" on iPhone pricing - I emailed them back yesterday as I was on their notification list for early interest in the iPhone and I told them that I would be interested in it if it was priced below $300 with a very good package - my email was deleted without being read.

Only if you don't know how to use iTunes, Beeswax - you obviously don't. Create a new smart folder for New music added and select the date period that you want to include as well as setting the music to show up with the date it was added. Tutorial here in case that was too complicated for you. www.apple.com

At least that is how I do it.

Looking into my crystal ball I'll pick it as $299 (on plan). So you'll be in like Flynn. You heard it here first.

Not so sure about Flynn but fingers crossed since I am on contract with Vodafone with my current phone.
