Cell phones can affect internal pacemakers, but there is not conclusive or demonstrated evidence that they cause adverse health affects in humans. Conversely, there is not conclusive or demonstrated evidence that they don't cause adverse health affects in humans. |

Although I am not certain of the strength of the transmitter, I understand it may have been about 2kw. Certainly it could be heard throughout the country, particularly at night. The base of the transmitter was about three feet off the ground. If you held a fluorescent bulb above your head it would light up. Most interesting. That was late 60s and I don't seem to have any adverse affects so far as cancer is concerned although there are some that say it scrambled what few brain cells I have. I don't imagine that the output of a cellphone is in any way comparable with my experience, so it seems that there may be not too much to worry about in the respect of a cellphone. |
