Did the police think the robbers would be hanging around after committing their scumbag crime ? Great do a crime and you have twenty minutes to walk away, you do not need a get away car, even a mobility scooter would do. Rob Pope is a namby pamby idiot and should be fired tomorrow. |

Of course, people who are drugged up on P and what-not are perfectly sensible, and will make a logical decision to dash rather than stick around and shoot someone else... |

| 677321 | 2008-06-10 21:49:00 | I think thats where common sense and our police force collide. We probably have some OSA guy with no police experience writing down procedures...LOL. However, is a situation like this, you would of thought, that if the 111 call come from the shop by witnesses already there, it would stand to reason that the robbers had already gone..... So, what went wrong, do we have a force of police unable to make intelligent deduction on scene. We already know they cant reason to search cars of the suspect even when its 25 feet from them. We even know they are unable to fathom they maybe have the wrong suspect, and forgo any other leads. I'm not sure, but do know, that taking 20min to secure the area before allowing ambulance staff through was a bad call, and we all know about bad calls! |

Now, people ring you to say there has just been a shooting, are you going to rush in without taking precautions? Thats how people end up dead. 20 mins seems long when your involved, but most people take that long just merely driving to work. I am more disgusted with the scumbags that came into the shop AFTER the guy had been shot and stole from the shop while the guy was there lying on the floor dying. Those people are just as disgusting as the d******ds who did the shooting. |
