I would imagine that it will be a fairly close copy of what this current iPhone is without the 3rd party developer support that the iPhone has. Nokia is pretty good but they aren't quite that innovative, if they were they would have bought something "better" out 2-3 years ago since the mobile phone business is the only thing they do.
Don't forget that Apple will already have an iPhone 3.0 and/or other updated iPhone models in the works and due for release in another 12-18 months. If you recall what they did with the iPod and the family of iPods you will get what I am talking about. That is why the competition is always a step or two behind. Apple has some pretty interesting stuff patented for the iPhone that they are working on.

$199 US, I wonder what it will sell for here unlocked and off contract...maybe $600-$800? I am guess the incumbant GSM proviser here will try to sell it as much as they can, before GSM competition kicks off later this year.

I hope apple are dropping their price for the ipod touches, as currently a 8GB touch is $100 more than the iphone, yet the touch has a lot less features than the iphone.

:spam of the WMG style

Can it do texts and the odd phone call?

Might do as a second phone if it is available for around $50 - $90

It is likely that Apple will drop the price of the touch as and when production costs allow them too. They are allowing the iPhone to be subsidized and reduced in price by the carriers so that they can achieve a faster market penetration against the likes of RIM and Blackberry which is not something that they need to worry about with the touch.

I would imagine that they will also incorporate larger capacity SSD RAM as and when pricing and component size allows.
