| 676929 | 2008-06-09 21:06:00 | You'll be streaming at 128k. So imagine downloading a file at 16 kbps for the length of time you are listening to that station. Generally most sites have a built in player (Active X needs to be installed) or you can use Winamp or WMP. I generally like using Winamp, if you get the option, cause it's light, but WMP isn't too bad either. I listen to stations from www.1club.fm often, they have a couple of good rock/metal channels. And everything else. Requires free + quick registration. Love it. |

| 676930 | 2008-06-09 22:41:00 | I use Winamp. Corbina true metal radio and Gotham Radio are my faves (You can find them in the winamp library for free). The bandwidth can get up there, I think I use just under 1 gig on that a month, having it on pretty much all weekend and about 5 hours during the week. (This estimate may be 1 gig either side of what I quoted.) |

I listen to BFM at 32k. I use VLC, but WMP will do. Any player you like really. Heres a list: http://www.nzradioguide.co.nz/ Sppeds vary, choose the slowest offered, less data that way and I can't tell the difference in quality. |

| 676937 | 2008-06-10 03:23:00 | I recommend www.sky.fm and http: If you use Winamp or VLC to play them, I highly suggest you use the 24Kbit aacPlus streams. They don't use much bandwidth and sound fantastic.. Note that the 24k aacPlus streams are free to listen to. |
