678794 2008-06-16 06:49:00 I take it your web editor doesn't have firefox, the broadband price page looks likes sh*t.

No savings there for me (from what I can read).

And seriously, You have such a bad rep that I wouldn't shift my ISP even if you were free.

678795 2008-06-16 07:23:00 Slingshot- 3rd worst ISP in NZ and that's saying something. beeswax34 (63)
678796 2008-06-16 07:24:00 After being burned before, I wouldn't use Sling**** if they were giving it away.

To be fair, the sheila has gone who started it all,so may be run a bit better.

678797 2008-06-16 07:28:00 It isn't believable that a company the size of Slingshot wouldn't have other ISPs' figures right in front of them while pricing their new plans. So this is just spam spam spam.

Spam.

678798 2008-06-16 08:13:00 I remember being on a Slingshot plan where I received 20 (25?)GB per month for only $49.95 per month. Now for that price you get 15GB. LOL
In the end, I moved from Slingsh|t because of the sh|tty speeds and reliability, not because of the limt I had

678799 2008-06-16 08:38:00 Not spam at all.

Keen to take on peoples comments regarding the changes we have made. So all suggestions are welcome - I'm here to listen.

Right, Forget spamming our forum, we have tons of paid for advertising to ignore as it is, Go take a look at the feedback you get from your customers in relation to your service (I know its there, I left plenty on the rare occasions the phones were answered) and buck up your ideas.

New plans make no difference, that's not the reason Slingshot doesn't get recommended.

678801 2008-06-16 08:50:00 This thread can stay as it is not spam per se.

I'm sure Scott is getting plenty of opinions, maybe not quite what he expected though ...

The plans don't interest me. My ISP Xnet has much more flexible plans that allow the same speeds but you can vary your data allowance and you only pay for what you actually use.

An ISP's broadband plans aren't the end all - customer service and reliability count for much more. That is what I go for.

I am sure if I did the same thing, and advertised my business by asking for comments about what my business offers, I would get pulled up for spamming, as it is a commercial posting.

I agree that pricing isn't the be all and end all of broadband. When I was with Slugshot, they ignored my email questions to them via their online help system. When I complained on their slugshot forum, they blocked my post, and then deleted my forum account, and on the whole were most rude. When I phoned them I was on hold for 20 minutes, and when I did get through, they said they would need to phone me back with the answer, which they never did. I am actually surprised they were only 3rd worst ISP, I would have thought they were the worst.

I am very happy with xnet although it has been slow today.

678803 2008-06-16 09:07:00 I started off on slingshot a year or two back, was great with that 25gb deal. Then the big restructure. After that it just went completely downhill and has never recovered. Slower then dial up speeds, poor CS, no contact etc

New contracts will not change my opinion.

So I switched to Xnet as well.
