809775 2009-09-14 01:32:00 Just a thought - try removing Avast and see if the problem goes away. I'm not convinced that Avast works 100% with Win7 yet. wratterus (105)

809778 2009-09-28 20:12:00 Just thought I'd bump this up, she's still having the same issue and we've done windows update etc, and have absolutely no idea what's causing it... ran Memtest86+ again for a few hours the other night just to check, and nothing came up ... Chilling_Silence (9)
809779 2009-09-28 20:27:00 in that report -- Whats the USB not entring Suspended state - to me that would say some USB device is not shutting dowm lines 24 & 31 ????? wainuitech (129)
809780 2009-09-28 20:48:00 Good question -- We even tried taking out her USB mouse and it still had the same issues .. I wonder if perhaps its something like the WebCam ? Chilling_Silence (9)
809781 2009-09-28 22:29:00 What I would try - back to basic's - Disconnect every thing thats not required, printers, Cams, external drives - maybe even the internet if Via Ethernet - see what happens. IF if shuts down OK - then add in one item at a time - sooner or later it will play up.

IF it still wont shut down correctly click start, type in reliability select View reliability history , look at the times its hanging, hopefully it will show an error, click it to see what it describes as a problem.

809782 2009-09-28 22:41:00 Yeah she's *only* got the mouse, everything else is built-in ...

Will try the reliability report and see, thanks :)
