Someone could / should put a island (or something) in the middle of it, only prob is, its one of the main bus routes into town, (and down to dominion road / lynfield etc), then a bus wouldnt be able to get around the corner. Usually some idiot starts spinning around midnight - 1 am.. after it has rained A few yrs ago, some idiot and a mate did it, they even recorded the deed. I was watching the guy recording it while I was online. Looking out the window We've also seen a couple, where they've poured diesel on one side of the road, then burned around in it. And man you could smell the diesel a mile away. The idiots were there for at least 20-30 mins.. Then who decides to come along, late as usual - the cops. Then 5-10 mins later, the fire brigade, to put sand on the diesel. |

| 680936 | 2008-06-21 23:53:00 | My neighbour got hit by one a few months back, they were doing burnouts on our street, smashed out letterbox, he went out to grab the remains of the letter box and one just drove up and did a doughnut in front of him hitting him then taking off . Police couldnt do anything, neighbour was ok, but he said it just annoyed him more then anything and got a massive bruise up his legs for his troubles . I watched it from my attic and tried to take photos of the idiots but the shots came out too dark to be identifyable . |

| 680937 | 2008-06-22 00:09:00 | There seems to be a lot more of these incidents happening - or being reported where a member of the public has taken it upon themselves to do something about these hoons - the guy shooting at the hoons in the Wairarapa settlement a few months back who then got penalised and had his shot gun removed - cops wouldn't attend because it was too far away :rolleyes: You get the feeling that the common citizen has had enough but the cops either can't be bothered attending or can't do anything because our pathetic laws give ALL the rights to the crims and hoons and NONE :badpc: to the public :rolleyes: |
