681227 2008-06-24 08:42:00 Where is this $100m figure from PJ?

NZ Herald. have just been looking for the story but cannot find it. Thought it was Monday but may have been sat or Fri. cannot find those days..

There was also a reference to the cost of similar schemes in Australia. PJ

681229 2008-06-24 10:19:00 So it is going to cost 100 million to set up. Plus the overuns of course.

Why don't they make busses & trains FREE instead. ???

Would make more sense to me.

But then, I am old & stupid. What would I know.

And get public transport to me as well for free. But there again I do not live north of the Bombay hills thankfully. All I need is a bus or train that leaves about 5:00 am Sun to Fri and comes back around 7:00 pm.

I have to use my car as there is not a lot of public transport here.

We do have the school bus but it leaves a little late for me and also may be a little early back again.

681231 2008-06-24 11:32:00 Hmm. They might need a Test Analyst. Note to self: find out who ends up with the tender. I'd love a bite of that cherry! johcar (6283)

WHy don't they subcontract out the work to india or china, it would be a heck of a lot cheaper.
It is just creating more cost and more complexity, and hardly something NZ can afford at the moment , with NZs current economic problems.
