It sounds as if the levels going into the stereo are too high, and its distorting. Is there any volume output adjustment on the Xbox? I'm guessing probably not. Could you plug it into a PC and see if you get the same thing, that way you can check levels etc, see how loud it actually is. |

The volume is probably controlled via the TV sound, that is if the output from the TV is a volume controlled monitor out. Try turning the volume down on the TV and up on the stereo. |

The problem seems to go away when I turn the sub off. :illogical |
