And why do you think so many people are leaving anyway? Calm down. I'm guessing you've never lived rurally, or (in my case) in West Auckland. I've known a few people who have visited here, and really enjoyed it. These people in question live in Stockholm, London, Hull, and Edinburgh, amongst others. In fact, just going by your name, and avatar, you don't come across as a Kiwi at all. |

Well I'm a Kiwi citizen but I guess in your eyes I'll never be Kiwi. And why is no one arguing with Battlenetter. What a load of BS he said. |

| 680605 | 2008-06-22 12:54:00 | Yawn Yea these rankings are garbage, they also fail to take into account Data Caps and there cost, no point having a 100MB connection if you have a 200MB data cap and an extra Gig costs $100 lol. Anyway I still blame the Auckland Councils for this freaken mess, not allowing Saturn Fibre/Coax hybrid cables on already ugly power poles in the late 90's killing the project for the entire country. Hope you guys are still enjoying your wonderful DSL :) most of those places as another guy suggested don't have data caps even so the first concern is misplaced. My friend came over from sweden and his plan for about $40nzd or less was 24mbit down. Unsuprisingly i see sweden are #2 Thats odd, I know a English couple that are over ATM, that have come from there Summer to a cold CHCH winter, have fallen in love with NZ, going back in a few days to sell up, knowing 'he' at least will be on a lower sallery when he gets a job here. NZ still has a soul, unlike our closest neighbor and many other countries so you can **** (Stop talking foolish utterings). See the world before you bag NZ, and if you want to leave be our guest. ah yes the old "there's the door" argument. a sound argument indeed One point I'd like to make, especially to those who doubt the results is that... The broadband test is by cnet.com.au and hosted on their AUSTRALIAN servers So for countries like NEPAL and other such places to beat NZ is FUNNY. if I'm not mistaken, all NZ internet traffic actualy goes through australia too |
