Lets all have bets as to how long before they show it in NZ
My bet is Dec-Jan

How many people here download TV programs rather than wait up to a year
for it to be shown locally.

Some TV programs don't even screen in NZ, so downloading is the only way to view them, otherwise you miss out.

681693 2008-06-24 02:46:00 Sometimes. I downloaded a couple episodes of south park a while back, took a good 8 months for them to arrive here. ubergeek85 (131)
681694 2008-06-24 02:49:00 Nah I can wait, enjoying the latest mad escapades on at the momnet - the trip to the Pole, this weeks desert crossing etc.

Notice how many things they do in Hiluxs?

681695 2008-06-24 03:25:00 That's because Toyota designed the 2nd best 4wd ever. And Jeremy doesn't like the Land Rovers. :D

You saw the episode where they tried to kill a Hilux? Dropped it off a building, drowned it in the sea, lit it on fire, drove it through a shed, it still went.

681696 2008-06-24 04:51:00 ive always wanted to take a hilux like that and back it at very high speed into the local telephone exchange thats getting a bit old and never gets the attention it needs (typical)

perhaps i could try and get hold of the top gear crew and suggest it to them?

they could even stick a few caravans next to it and make sure they perish at the same time!

sounds like a good idea to me ;)

Hey you know I did a speed test on the weekend at Wyndham and got 3mbps.
The most amazing speed ever for that exchange, so either a whole lot of people there died or they did something to improve it.

681699 2008-06-24 05:35:00 I used to download a lot of TV programs but lately they seem to have been a bit better at playing them on TV here quicker.
An example is the last series of Lost, they were only about 2-3 weeks behind the downloads on the net so didn't bother.
I don't watch the ads either way as I record on my HTPC then skip the ads.
