Apple has quietly added television shows for sale on iTunes Australia tonight. iTunes lists five networks with TV shows currently available: ABC Studios, Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Disney Channel, Nine Network and MTV. Individual shows are priced at $2.99 per episode. At present, there appear to be 21 different shows represented.

Apple has been slowly rolling out international television and movie sales on iTunes. Movies remain unavailable on iTunes Australia at this time.

An official press release will likely be issued later today.

Here's hoping :)

682024 2008-06-25 02:58:00 Theirs aren't that much better although much like ours they are improving with more investment. Stuff like this is what pushes demands from users and "encourages" the Telcos ;)

It doesn't seem to deter a lot of people.

I wouldn't call 2.99 AUS an episode "over priced bull****" well some of the shows could be crap depending on the individual viewers opinion but going on pricing varitions around the place, they hardly qualify as being "over priced". They are or should be coded as h.264 as well.

Clicking the link takes you to the new TV Shows section, where I found 29 different TV shows ranging from international hits like 'Lost' to popular local shows like 'We Can Be Heroes'. Pricing for all TV Shows is $2.99 (compared to US$1.99) and seasons range in price from $65.78 for 22 episodes of 'Scrubs, Season 6' to $15.99 for 6 episodes of 'Sleek Geeks, Season 1'. You'll note that you get a slight discount when buying some season packs, but not on all.

Its news as opposed to SPAM, also you can't yet purchase the shows unless you are in OZ and no one is forcing you to buy any when they do arrive here.

Would you prefer it if I anounced the next top end graphics card instead?

682031 2008-06-25 04:13:00 It's not the fact that you do it once - every day there's new threads about apple this and apple that, you are a complete troll, and post far too much in a thread. You got banned before for doing exactly what your doing now, spamming the forum.

I say BAN VSX, he's had his chance.
