682011 2008-06-25 01:26:00 Hi
I have found in the past that there are some real tech savy cookies out there reading these posts and its knowing this that I ask for their help.
I have two Vodafone Branded 715 phones these are relatively new with video capabilities but its the most simply and anoying thing I need help with.
Without any reason at all the phones loose their ring volume settings on a regular basis. They can go from the 5 bar loud ring down to the super quiet 1 bar setting without the slightest adjustment.
My wifes has a mind of its own that can loose its setting whilst sitting in her bag whilst at work.
We have to constantly go into the setings menu to reset the ring volume in profiles. So its not simply a single key push to reset.
The help desk at vodafone are clueless as is the repair place they refer me to. My wifes was purchased from vodafone online store so could get it sent under warranty. Mine second hand on trade me. So we would have same phone and share accesories. But same problem would indicate a software Bug to me.
What do you think
Thanks

Flip phones? I thought I had the same problem with my Samsung flip phone - it turned out that for the true sound to be heard, the phone need to be closed. If it's open, you will hear a very diluted version of the sound.

682014 2008-06-25 08:42:00 Vodafone 715 is a samsung (I think) with Vodafone painted over the brand name. Crappy crappy phone....really is. pine-o-cleen (2955)

682016 2008-06-26 22:24:00 The 715 is a Huawei device.

If you send me an email (you can find my address on the Vodafone website under media relations) I'll get someone to look into it for you.

Cheers

682017 2008-06-26 22:44:00 Vodafone 715 seems to have a few problems.

My main problem with is not allowing you to install java apps from you pc :(

The Vodafone 715 pc software even has an 'install java app' button, but nooo

682018 2008-06-27 01:26:00 I can't figure out how to get Java to work on my 715 either, plus there's a bug with text messages: If you sort by date descending then you'll get the newest at the top down to the oldest at the bottom, but it ignores the year so that December 2007 appears as being later than June 2008! 682019 2008-06-27 02:55:00 It seems the only way you can install Java apps is through the wap browser... which means you have to use mobile broadband at $10mb or whatever it is. Blaah

They really need to do a firmware update to fix all the bugs but I don't think it's gonna happen

682020 2008-06-27 03:30:00 I couldn't even get that to go; I don't remember which app it was but the site wouldn't detect Java support on the phone in the first place and didn't provide an option to continue anyway. Nermal (7077)
