681953 2008-06-24 23:24:00 SWMBO wanted to know what "Hubby" meant. I explained, and she collapsed in helpless laughter, I had a look at the monitor and she had been reading this.

"Great trader, prompt delivery, can't comment on the shower as it will take hubby at least 6 months to move it from the lounge let alone unpack and install it :-) "

(From this (www.trademe.co.nz) page of TM feedback.)

What is so funny about that? She had about twenty minutes of mirth from it.

681954 2008-06-24 23:30:00 So that's why my SWMBO laughed so loud last night too - when she surfed TradeMe. B*gger, it's patently not true. I will unpack it, you know.

681955 2008-06-24 23:32:00 Strange sense of humour these women creatures.

Ever watched SWMBO make a simple purchase - shampoo for example!! Now that's what shagging around looks like!!

681956 2008-06-24 23:35:00 I have heard the remarks when I brought home the wrong shampoo. Pretty close to a capital offence apparently. R2x1 (4628)

So that's what married bliss looks like? I can see my GF becoming a monster in that way... Sigh.

681959 2008-06-25 01:48:00 Perhaps a few wise quotes are applicable here:

I expect that woman will be the last thing civilised by man. - George Meredith, The Ordeal of Richard Feverel.

God created woman. And boredom did indeed cease from that moment - but many other things ceased as well. Woman was God's second mistake. - Nietzsche, The Antichrist.

Here's to woman! Would that we could fall into her arms without falling into her hands. - Ambrose Bierce (quoted in Bitter Bierce.)

Heav'n has no rage like love to hatred turn'd,
Nor hell a fury like a woman scorn'd. - Congreve, The Mourning Bride, III, 8

Ten measures of speech descended on the world; women took nine and men one. - Babylonian Talmud, Kiddushim

And, of course, the one that all men must live by:

As for women, though we scorn and flout 'em,
We may live with, but cannot live without 'em. - Frederic Reynolds, The Will, 1, 1

That always seems the way - but surely your missus acts nicely around others - same as everyone else. :o
