811710 2009-09-19 00:45:00 I am using "power toys, Image Resize" on my XP to reduce photos, no problem. A friend in Australia is on Vista and when we tried to use the same Image Resize program it would not work. I am wondering if Vista has the Image Resize already built in. Any help much appreciated. gradebdan (2186)

An alternative is here.

Not the nicest of interfaces but it works.

811713 2009-09-19 01:40:00 I did think that Vista being newer than XP would have had a Resizer built in. gradebdan (2186)
811714 2009-09-19 01:44:00 Sometimes the newer product is not always better than the older.

For Vista and Windows 7 I ended up using VSO Image resizer (www.vso-software.fr). it nags you to purchase when you open, but I click cancel.

The one Sweep posted looks interesting though -- might give it a go.

811717 2009-09-19 02:30:00 Just tried the one Sweep linked - that works well as well.

This is the Nag Window (www.imagef1.net.nz) - no big deal - but it is there - and I ain't paying for it :p

811718 2009-09-19 03:05:00 I found this gem (www.rw-designer.com) the other day. It's portable, so it doesn't need installing. :D Options are set by renaming the file. I've used it to resize almost 100 photos at once, and it only took a few seconds. pcuser42 (130)

Use Clickoff to remove the stupid nagging screen:D
