683554 2008-06-29 09:09:00 I like the colour combinations. :)
Thanks Jen, that is a basic thing that partly drew me to the shot. Poor Greg must lead a fairly boring life - perhaps he would be happier in Pleasantville ;) :D

683555 2008-06-29 09:15:00 Ok, I'll bite, what is it?
It was taken in a cafe in Perth called Punka Wallas....just the ceiling. :xmouth:

I remember also visiting a place in Adelaide which had bars and a restaurant or two, which is called the Bombay Bicycle Club. I did not take my camera with me but could well have got some interesting shots. It is themed on Rudyard Kipling. Worth a visit if you get to Adelaide.

683556 2008-06-29 09:17:00 Inspired by the above comments,. I fired up Photoshop to see if I could bring out the visual elements of this picture, I'm pretty happy with the results, I believe I have high lighted what was only hinted at in the original.

683558 2008-06-29 11:33:00 Metla, nicely altered

Misty: It was a big and square picture. That's all I'm going to say :P

683559 2008-06-29 11:43:00 Geez - how much compression used in this photo? Or was it a 0.3 megapixel camera. It would be an alright photo if it wasn't so......pixelated.

It was actually an 11MB Adobe RAW shot saved to 223kb jpg for faster up load.

Here is a higher res shot www.imagef1.net.nz
And from another angle although I prefer the first one www.imagef1.net.nz

683560 2008-06-29 11:53:00 Well it's different. I think you'd be more likely to notice the appreciation or bizarreness of the Ceiling than the appreciation of the photo.

683561 2008-06-29 14:09:00 Looks very Art Deco to me. wmoore (6009)
683562 2008-06-29 14:17:00 I actually think the design is pretty poor if you ask me

I don't know about you but I've seen better design at cafes better than this overseas.

Ones that are extremely inspiring.
