Normal people need a real life example of it being compromised before they see it as a bad idea . At least someone got past the thirty-word limit . Looks like the big words weren't such an obstacle either . Congrats! |

I thought you were having a nap ;) What time is it where you are? It is lunchtime here & I still have people passed out on the couch behind me. I'm barely awake myself, but I can't sleep either so I'm lurking around pressf1 & hoping my third coffee for the morning will wake me up. |

Right now it's 06:30 Sunday morning, coffee in my hands . . cool morning, 20ºC, bright sunshine and the smell of sagebrush moistened by the gentle morning dew wafting in to my sense of smell . The local mountains are tinged blue-green in their early morning shadows, waiting for the sun to get around to warming them when it's their turn . Quiet in the neighborhood before all the rug rats awaken from dream of sugar plum fairies . Even my dog isn't awake after a tiring night of standing guard duty . . . . . . . protecting me and my domicile . Can't find the cat . . . but that's normal after the sun comes up . . . . or sets . I'm fresh and rested after the nap that went into extra innings . Was that over 30 words again? |

| 683290 | 2008-07-02 07:12:00 | I use a Mobil card everyday for fuel for work. Just pull up at the pump, swipe card, pin, fill up. It can also be done with a credit or eftpos card. | joemac (9739) | ||

I wish all gas stations in NZ have EFTPOS at the pump like Mobil. But as usual they're lazy and would rather you stood in the long coffee que to beg for some prepay gas.. I only use Mobil and Pak N Save because I can use CC at the pump. |

| 683292 | 2008-07-03 04:41:00 | The word "service" in service stations appears to me to be a misnomer in this day and age. At one time you could get some service and quite a few had mechanics around to help with any problems. Now it is all self help and it would appear that thieves are doing just that! Perhaps we should go to running a scanner over the registration sticker and WOF/COF before you can get fuel. No Reg or WOF then no fuel. This will not help with a stolen vehicle but maybe scan the driver licence as well. I do realise this would be quite an inconvenience to the honest people but what would you have to do to stop theft? You will find that even the oil companies call them 'Petrol/Fuel Stations' rather than service stations, as they ceased providing service many years ago. There are some small operators that still do, but they are being phased out. |

BP used to have eftpos at pump, but took it out because it was having an effect on shop sales |

They can really only blame themselves for drive offs then, as eftpos at the pump would prevent that happening. |
