Hopefully ! --- I like it personally. Probably have taken a few more images that would gain much more general acceptance than this one --- but hoping that one other person, other than me, likes this particular one :)

The angle doesn't do anything for me. Looks like you took the pic as you were dropping the camera. Possibly a vetical shot from the floor looking straight up would have been better. For the type of room you may have needed to take a variety of shots from different possitions to see which one turned out the best. I usually do that with a lot of shots I take on my camera - take 15-20 and keep the 2 best ones.

Just having another look and you actually have very interesting brown paneling in the ceiling which could be easily framed in a vertical shot.

I took about 6 different angles to get this one in Surfers in mid May. I have another similar one from a slightly different angle, the rest were crap.

683548 2008-06-29 06:36:00 Well it's different. I think you'd be more likely to notice the appreciation or bizarreness of the Ceiling than the appreciation of the photo.

Geez - how much compression used in this photo? Or was it a 0.3 megapixel camera. It would be an alright photo if it wasn't so......pixelated.

hi Misty

The ceiling and the blocked bold colours are good, but all of those lights give it a bit too much "busy" feeling to it. If you photoshopped all of the lights out of this image then you would have a focal point in the architecture.

Those fan shaped thingy's hanging down could probably stay, depends on how it looks with all the lights removed.

But I can see why you found this an interesting image to catch on camera.

cheers

683552 2008-06-29 07:55:00 I like the colour combinations. :)To me the combination of orange and blue makes me want to die a slow painful death. Greg (193)

Aaah, some informed comment !! Yes, I had been thinking that it is busy. Had considered photoshopping some - but had not thought of all of the lights, mmmh - might give it a go and see how it turns out.
thanks
