| 683275 | 2008-06-28 22:26:00 | I normally only fill up at Shell or BP due to the cards I use getting me points. I do remember quite a few years ago using a garage that had card facilities at the pump, maybe it was a Mobil or Caltex I don't remember. Do they still have those or was that idea taken out also? I have always locked my car when fueling up. I guess what ever measures that the service stations put in place there will be some crim that will beat the system or at least try. As Sweep said there is no "Service" left in Service station these days, but if being a forecourt attendant is going to get you beaten up then I guess it is not the job for me. Smaller towns and suburbs still offer the personal service although it seems to be getting less of a service as years go by. My Wife tells me that there is an attendant at BP Ellerslie that comes out. A big maori bloke with tattoos and dreadlocks and scary as hell, but she says he is the quietest spoken well mannered person and a really nice bloke to talk to. Well done that service station. |

Normal people need a real life example of it being compromised before they see it as a bad idea. | Greven (91) | ||

| 683282 | 2008-06-29 00:22:00 | I never lock my car when paying for my gas. But now perhaps I think I should. Pre Pay pisses me off, it is such a pain. And we going to be forced into this because of some sum bags ! Has anyone of them ever been caught and charged and sent to jail ? |

I don't mind the system pack n save uses where you pay by eftpos or credit card. It really comes into its own when it is busy - no waiting in line at the counter while the entire moungrel mob pays for their petrol before everyone else. |

" The officer looked closer, and saw that the big, boxy trailer was parked right over the station's underground tank........ .... he saw a hose running from it, through an open hatch in the ground, down into the storage tank" |
