When your pooch/kitty/rodent/illegal pet gets sick/injured/whatever, and you take him/her/it to the vet, do you think you are in any way affected if the vet is an Asian man? I'm considering to go into that field, but what my ever-so-wise mother told me today has got me thinking. So, do you care in any way of the ethnicity of a man in such profession, or do you only care about his skills to save your pooch? |

The problem that my mother sees is the stereotype that says Asians eat cats and dogs (that most Asians like me find extremely pissy and annoying). While that is true in many cases, as for me you'll find that I'll eat one of you guys before you see me eating a dog or a cat! :D |

If a person wants to get into being an animal doctor I say go for it regardless of what the parent(s) may say. Recently I took one of my cats to the local Vet for immunisation against cat flu etc and an Asian lady took care of this. Get a vocation you will be happy with for the rest of your life! |
