Oxfam says so-called green policies in developed countries are contributing to the world's soaring food prices, which hit the poor hardest.

The group also says biofuels will do nothing to combat climate change. (news.bbc.co.uk)

682249 2008-06-26 14:57:00 gotta love how politicians who have no idea about how such systems work are trying to create "green" policies which, while they think will make them popular, no-one actually cares about

especially if the critics are right about the yet to be finished NZ biofuel transport fuel favouring ethanol over diesel and creating a (worst case) 4 to 8 cent rise in petrol price per litre
