| 812382 | 2009-09-21 09:51:00 | One of my mates rang me to say that a user of his laptop formatted the hdd which had Vista 32 on it. He does not have a Vista install disc , so he tried to install XP from his previous OS disc but failed. What can you suggest to remedy this dead laptop? Would my Vista 32 disc solve the prob? |

Or if that doesnt work, if the restore partition is intact remove the hdd, connect it to a desktop, see if there are ISO's on the partition, if there are, burn them. It probably failed (if it couldnt detect the hdd) if the hdd in it is SATA. And the SATA option is enabled in the BIOS |
