1444137 2017-12-28 21:45:00 Hello
I have been a Firefox user since version 3.00

I have heard that Chrome is good, but was happy to stay on Firefox.

I have since gone to Quantum, and it is certainly faster than the old FF.

It seems that Chrome has a very big share of the market and FF is now down to 12%

I like to surf the web and print out articles that I like.
I find FF is very bad for this as it usually only prints the first page.
Whereas Chrome seems to print the whole article.

I have told FF about this but they have not made any changes.

So I am think of going to Chrome.

What do you think?

For me Speed is not the king. But Bookmarks and History and synching two machines are my main priorities.

1444138 2017-12-28 23:06:00 Still use FF ( as well as other browsers). Just tried printing one other thread so it comes on several pages, they printed fine, 6 pages in total.

Can you link a page /article that's giving problems please ?

The NZ Herald has a print button at the bottom of most of its articles.
If you hit that you only get the first page.

I have told the Herald but they did not understand me and said its printing just fine.
I think the problem is that IT departments only optimise their sites for Chrome and then thats it.
Why would you bother to do a whole lot of work for an OS with only 12% of the market and probably getting less.

1444140 2017-12-29 00:38:00 Just had a look, and YEP. Its a problem with FF.( googling the problem) seems its been a problem for years.

Other browsers ( tried Edge & Chrome) work /print fine.

1444141 2017-12-29 04:11:00 I'll stay with Firefox. I tried Chrome for a couple of weeks, but found the address bar etc at the top way too small for me, and no way to alter it within Chrome. Google suggests people have been complaining about this for 4 years or so and still nothing fixed, So uninstalled, maybe if they bring in more personalisation features I'd give it another go. 1444142 2017-12-29 04:35:00 I do have FF installed but seldom use it now. Chrome now. Chrome doesn't have as much features like plugins but overtime I seldom found I needed those. Chrome on my aging Intel Q8200 is noticeably quicker also.

With Chrome I think you can sync it with your Google account. So your different computers and phones/tablets should do that.

1444145 2017-12-31 01:20:00 I moved to Chrome a couple of years ago and just stuck with it, still had FF installed until recently but decided I don't like multiple browsers.
But my reason for changing might actually be an argument against Chrome, I hired a movie through the google play store and although they claim it should play in any browser it would not work in IE, edge, or FF. Seems pretty dodgy to me, but I'd paid the money so I installed chrome to watch the movie and just stuck with it after that. I guess that's a win for google but not an honest one.

And yes I sometimes pay to stream movies, shocking I know.

1444146 2017-12-31 01:40:00 Stopped using FF years ago I cannot remember why. Edge works just fine for me and I also use Chrome a lot.
Just to add a comment I make a point of learning how to use a new version rather than waste time and energy trying to get it to be exactly like the old one.
