1443410 2017-12-15 10:09:00 I built an 1,800$ computer it was my first build I don’t know much about PCs or software. I know a lot about Internet I install it for Att. My pc has download speed of 92m and zero upload speed. Not even a single kB. I have no anti virus other than windows. I turn it off and still get zero. When I first booted up the pc I added an old ssd and hardrive to my new build (the only thing I added from my old rig) I’ve went to device manager I’ve updated all my drives. The only thing I for sure haven’t been able to do properly is flash my bios. But my last update was the September one of 17 idk if that would change much. I’m running out of ideas and thing about taking it to a repair shop to get the port looked at. Any help would be appreciated.

Windows 10 os
I5 Intel 8600
EVGA GeForce 1080i 11g ftw3
Ddr4 trident 16g
Thermaltake 3.0 liquid cooler
Corsair power supply 650w

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

1443411 2017-12-15 11:16:00 Have you tried swapping the ethernet cable for a known good one?
Checked the speed how, if you have no upload?

1443412 2017-12-15 16:46:00 Yes I have fiber internet all four pairs have to be working for gig speeds. I have a gig so if it was that I wouldn’t be able to access the internet if one of the wires were bad or clip was messed up, but like I said yes I’ve awapped them. I talked to a local computer repair company the guy suggested I reset the pc do a clean install without using my 2 hard drives from my old rig and just use the new hard drives. I’m in the process of trying this now. Mac The HangMan (17590)

1443414 2017-12-15 17:36:00 If you installed a hdd with an OS on it and you didnt format the hdd / do a clean install. Then something will work.

Otherwise, you'll have probs, like now. And it'll crash your system, sooner or later

And if you install windows on the ssd, unplug the the hdd first. Reconnect it after windows has been installed

1443417 2017-12-15 19:34:00 Did you boot from dvd or flash drive. Delete all partitions then install windows? Not install windows in windows?

What reset? There's no point in resetting the hdd/windows. Because a format will delete / remove everything on it

1443418 2017-12-15 20:22:00 I am a bit confused, how can you even get to Speedtest.net if you have "0 upload"?
You must have some, otherwise you could not get to a DNS server to resolve the ip address.

Why don't you try opening Task Manager (in Win 10 right click on the task-bar, then click on Task Manager) and going to the network page,
then try browsing, that will show your upload and download speeds in real-time.

1443419 2017-12-15 22:05:00 You could have very low upload speed, you really should be discussing it with the ISP. They may say its congestion (not likely), if they do profiles, see if they can reset it.

Should try other speed test sites too, and check settings of the devices between your computer and the internet. Also try uploading a quite large file somewhere to see if the upload is slow.
