| 1443385 | 2017-12-14 07:20:00 | Hi, thanks for your time. I have an old Brother laser colour printer (HL-3070CW) which has been working very well at home until recent problem. Tried 3rd party cartridges and had a problem. Replaced them with new Brother cartridges and now one cartridge slot won't function. Cartridges are all ok because I can swap them around (it has a black toner cartridge and three separate colour cartridges) and it is always the one that goes into the slot for the magenta cartridge that doesn't print at all. Test print shows 3 cartridges print ok and one doesn't print at all. If there is anyone who reads this and knows what the problem is can you please let me know if I can do anything about it myself or is it a job for a service repairer only (translate, brick it!). Cheers! |

Could be as simple as taking it to a Authorized Brother repair agent and have them give it a good clean. Not too sure how old the unit is but depending on the cost of getting it cleaned it may be more cost-effective to buy a new laser printer. Cheers, |
