1443206 2017-12-10 02:14:00 Recently Windows 7 Update has ceased to function. Furthermore, the Windows 7 Troubleshooter fails to resolve the issue. Is there a safe remedy for this condition, please? Kevin Parker (17517)
1443207 2017-12-10 02:39:00 It did have probs last week. It was because of an expired cab file or something. It kept saying the windowsupdate service wasn't running.

If this is the cause / error it should have been fixed by now

If you didnt see this error message then what does the error say?

1443210 2017-12-18 03:01:00 The problem persists. All I get is this:
"Windows Update cannot currently check for updates because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer."
A restart does not help.
