| 1443030 | 2017-12-06 23:34:00 | Hi all, this started last night, after the update the other day. When trying to open WLM, the splash screen appears and the busy symbol is busy. Nothing showing in Task manager. I've tried the Essentials recovery tool, and changing the name of the cache file, both to no avail. |

| 1443031 | 2017-12-07 00:40:00 | Sorry , I have to ask :) WLM, or the mail app thats built into Win10 (different products) Windows10 build updates can remove programs deemed incompatible by MS, even though they do still work in 10(eg Office07) Given WLM is very much end of life , 10 update may have tried & failed to remove it ? try... Backup the mail database before doing anything, just in case. Uninstall & re-install WLM. Or re-install over the top Remove the email a/c & database & re-install (database might be corrupt) And the alternative , better answer : consider a fully supported email program , such as Thunderbird or Outlook. |

| 1443033 | 2017-12-07 01:04:00 | edit , assuming it is WLM You'll have great difficulty installing essentials on new builds of 10 . You need to install in 8 compatibility mode , twice. Fingers crossed. Expect things to get a bit hairy with WLM as time goes on If its Win Mail , as a last resort remove & re-install the mail app (backup first) www.tenforums.com |

| 1443034 | 2017-12-07 01:05:00 | WLM is discontinued. Windows Essentials 2012 suite reached end of support on January 10, 2017. It is no longer available for download. It wont work with outlook.com. ALSO you cant download it from microsoft anymore, they have also pulled the plug / download. So unless you already have the offline installer you cant reinstall it. |
