| 1442994 | 2017-12-05 02:33:00 | Hi all, I have the latest Firefox (64bit) and also the latest Flash player. Yesterday, a flash gaming site I access regularly (https://empire.goodgamestudios.com/) has started doing one of two things: 1) message saying 'please activate flash to play', or 2) Adobe Flash plugin has crashed, with options to send crash report and/or reload. If I reload or refresh, it's the same as above. The same site works fine in Chrome. What I have tried: - Uninstalled/reinstalled flash - Clear all cache/stored data from Firefox - I have checked the firefox add-in page, disabled then re-abled Flash, also from this addin page, have tried: - Tried changing the add-in setting from 'Ask to activate', to 'always activate' - Tried turning off the 'block dangerous content' settting. I'm now out of ideas. Any suggestions? Win 10, 64bit, fully updated. No major system changed made before this happened except 1) Windows update a few days ago, but I had used the site since this, and 2) COmodo firewall was updated. But I have tried disabling Comodo also and it doesn't fix it. Thank in advance for any help. |

| 1442998 | 2017-12-05 04:11:00 | Hi Speedy, No activate button came up automatically, but I can see at the top of the page it's already activated. See screenshot here: prntscr.com And yes, I have the latest version which is 27.0.0.187. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, too. Here is a screenshot of the add-in settings in FF. I have also disabled/re-enabled it and tried ticking/unticking the block dangerous content checkbox. It didn't make a difference so I left that turned on. prntscr.com |

| 1442999 | 2017-12-05 21:02:00 | 1) message saying 'please activate flash to play', or thats just want FF now does . FF is slowly phasing out flash support , and now requires you to choose what sites can load flash. Try an older version of FF . or just use chrome instead . Sometimes easier to use programs that work rather than try & fix bugs in programs that dont |

I tried that site and got the no flash installed message. Installed it, and it loaded and works. FF says Flash is their under plugins..... |

| 1443001 | 2017-12-05 23:41:00 | Yep, I can see flash in the add-ins page within FF, but for some reason it either crashes, or asks to activate flash (even though it's already activated). @pctek, it used to work fine, exactly how you found it too. |

Flash itself won't be supported after 2020, so best get rid of it now. | pcuser42 (130) | ||
| 1443003 | 2017-12-05 23:46:00 | Yep understand what you are saying, but that's up to the content providers, not me. Hopefully they will convert to a different format before 2020. But that's still 3 years away, and flash is still supported meantime so there should be no reason it shouldn't work still. |
